Senior Transport Operator – GXO Logistics – Coventry, England.
Responsibilities
- Allocate daily work and manage driver workloads.
- De‑brief returning drivers and monitor delivery paperwork.
- Analyse driver print‑offs, manage infringements, and handle day‑to‑day driver queries.
- Maintain compliance with SOPs, working time legislation, accident management processes, and vehicle hygiene checks.
- Oversee resource planning, productivity improvement, and VORs/breakdowns.
- Coordinate shipments to Ireland, manage DGN notes, and communicate delivery shortages/overs.
- Support investigations and complete vehicle accident reports.
- Provide timely, accurate reporting to the National Transport Manager.
- Lead and develop the team, conduct performance reviews, and maintain a safe, fair working environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast‑paced transport or logistics environment with strong teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability to interpret data and support operational decision‑making.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills with confidence to guide and influence others.
- Experience conducting formal hearings or investigations, ensuring professionalism and fairness at all times.
Pay & Benefits
- Salary up to £35,700 per annum.
