Senior Transport Operator – GXO Logistics – Coventry, England.

Responsibilities

• Allocate daily work and manage driver workloads.
• De‑brief returning drivers and monitor delivery paperwork.
• Analyse driver print‑offs, manage infringements, and handle day‑to‑day driver queries.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, working time legislation, accident management processes, and vehicle hygiene checks.
• Oversee resource planning, productivity improvement, and VORs/breakdowns.
• Coordinate shipments to Ireland, manage DGN notes, and communicate delivery shortages/overs.
• Support investigations and complete vehicle accident reports.
• Provide timely, accurate reporting to the National Transport Manager.
• Lead and develop the team, conduct performance reviews, and maintain a safe, fair working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast‑paced transport or logistics environment with strong teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical ability to interpret data and support operational decision‑making.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills with confidence to guide and influence others.
• Experience conducting formal hearings or investigations, ensuring professionalism and fairness at all times.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary up to £35,700 per annum.
