Our client is a UK manufacturer of highly technical automated fire & smoke protection products looking for a Project Manager to manage the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring performance against programme, cost, quality, and contractual requirements.
This mid‑senior level role involves full‑time project delivery, responsible for managing multiple projects from order through to final handover.
You will oversee programme management, health & safety, cost control and margin optimisation, as well as full coordination of project deliverables. You will act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders on behalf of the company across the UK.
This is a hybrid role working from either the Merseyside office or home with intermittent and regular travel required to oversee projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary point of contact post‑contract award
- Support tendering activity where required
- Carry out site surveys to confirm measurements and readiness for installation
- Manage site activity and daily reporting, ensuring all variations are recorded in line with contract requirements
- Prepare and manage H&S documentation including RAMS, method statements, H&S plans, toolbox talks, and site inductions
- Coordinate site logistics including plant, equipment hire, transport, and offloading supervision
- Ensure correct branding and presentation standards are maintained on site
- Coordinate installers and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Oversee installation quality, testing, witnessing, and final handover to clients
- Support development and expansion of installer network
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in internal systems/CRM
- Ensure smooth project delivery and customer experience throughout
- Manage ongoing aftercare including planned preventative maintenance, variations, and repairs
- Undertake any additional duties required to support project and business delivery
Deliverables:
- Monthly delivery of project value and gross profit performance
- Improvement in margin from order to handover
- High stakeholder satisfaction / Net Promoter Score
- Zero health & safety incidents or breaches
Requirements
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving ability
- Experience in M&E engineering and/or construction project management
- Strong stakeholder management and customer‑facing skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple teams and deliver complex projects effectively
Desirable Qualifications/Training:
- SMSTS
- IPAF 3a/3b
- Formal project management training (e.g. Certificate in Construction Project Management)
- CPCS A61 and A62
