Finance Team Assistant
£50,000 – £55,000 + Bonus & Benefits
London (West End)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive Team Assistant to join the Finance division of a leading global investment management firm. This is a fast-paced, high-performance environment offering exceptional exposure across a globally respected business.
The firm is known for its driven, ambitious culture, where people are committed, focused, and take real pride in their work. During core hours, the environment is very much “heads down” professional, productive, and delivery-focused, but this is balanced by a genuinely social and down-to-earth team who enjoy unwinding together when the pace allows. It’s a culture that rewards hard work while fostering strong relationships and a sense of camaraderie.
The Finance function is a well-established, globally connected team responsible for financial reporting, planning, and treasury activities across the organisation.
The Role
Supporting a team of 6–8 finance professionals, this role blends traditional assistant responsibilities with hands-on exposure to finance processes. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, high-performance setting and enjoys being part of a team that works hard but also values its social side.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing documentation and board packs for meetings
• Assisting with invoice processing and accounts payable tasks
• Conducting banking callbacks and supplier verification checks
• Supporting maintenance of financial records including accruals and prepayments
• Assisting with cashbook updates and reconciliations
• Drafting correspondence on behalf of the team
• Managing diaries and coordinating meetings
• Processing expenses
• Taking minutes in meetings and ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Supporting team events and social activities
About You
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Proactive, personable, and approachable
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, focused environment
• Enjoys being part of a collaborative, sociable team
The team is focused and delivery-driven during the day, with a real sense of momentum and purpose, but equally values downtime — whether that’s team lunches, informal socials, or celebrating successes together. It’s an environment where you’ll feel both challenged and genuinely included.
Remuneration & Benefits
• £50,000 – £55,000 base salary
• Discretionary bonus
• Comprehensive benefits package
• On-site gym facilities and wellness offering
• Subsidised or complimentary meals and refreshments
• Excellent long-term progression opportunities
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Team Assistant looking to gain exposure within a finance function in a high-performing, globally recognised environment.
