Trainee Children’s Residential Home Manager – LD
Location: Southampton
Job Type: Full-time, 9-5 Monday to Friday for the initial 12 months
Salary: £35,805 per annum basic salary
Responsibilities
- Enrolment onto a 12-month leadership programme designed for individuals with Children’s Home experience who are ambitious to move into a management role.
- Be an integral part of the leadership team, working closely with knowledgeable Managers across LD Children’s Homes.
- Gain practical leadership experience with one-to-one support through coaching and mentoring alongside an accredited leadership programme (including face-to-face workshops, training and development).
- Support recruitment, retention, and the development of behaviours and culture within the service.
- On completion of the 12-month course, move into a Service Manager position or continue as a Deputy Manager in one of our Children’s homes, with ongoing opportunities to gain a Level 5 qualification.

Requirements
- Passionate and motivated to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
- 2 years’ experience working within a Residential Children’s home, either as a Senior or Deputy, or experience in supporting people with learning disabilities
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People or health and social care
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
- Committed to learning and development, with ambition to lead
- A full UK driving licence
