JOB SUMMARY
Consultant in Respiratory Medicine – a 10 PA (8:2 direct clinical care: supporting professional activity) post based within Respiratory Medicine, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide input to a dedicated 30-bed Respiratory Medicine Ward, a 6-bed Medical High Dependency Unit, and a 30-bed acute admission unit.
- Deliver all respiratory sub‑specialty clinics, with particular emphasis on lung cancer and complex pulmonary infection.
- Support professional activity and direct clinical care within the department, contributing to a service redesign that enhances patient care and staff experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current membership of MRCP.
- GMC Specialist Register in General Internal Medicine or within 6 months of anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) at the time of interview.
WORK HOURS AND LOCATION
40 hours per week. The successful applicant will work in Dundee, a city that offers both vibrant urban life and easy access to stunning countryside. The post is at Ninewells Hospital, a major teaching hospital.
