Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive a culture of exemplary behaviour and high expectations, upholding and embedding the school’s behaviour policy and CREDIT values.
- Model excellence and build high‑impact relationships by establishing strong, professional relationships with pupils and acting as a visible role model and mentor.
- Lead and deliver restorative behavioural practice by applying a restorative approach to behaviour management, leading investigations, conflict resolution, and mentoring interventions.
- Operate and strengthen behaviour systems, including investigation of incidents, managing referrals, supervising the R Room provision, and ensuring administration meets a high standard.
- Champion whole‑school culture and engagement, supporting assemblies, events and meetings to promote positive behaviour across all year groups.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant qualifications: at least GCSE grade C/4 in English and Mathematics; additional qualifications desirable.
- Demonstrable experience working with young people and families across educational settings.
- Data literacy: ability to analyse data, identify trends and produce insight‑driven reports.
- IT proficiency: confident using Excel and school platforms such as SIMS and CPOMS, or willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills suitable for diverse audiences.
- Highly organised with strong time‑management, able to prioritise under pressure and remain calm in crisis situations.
- Teamwork: ability to collaborate, contribute to improvements and work constructively as part of a wider team.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and alignment with the school’s ethos and values.
Pay
Pay range: NJC SCP 9 – 17; Full Time; Permanent.
