Senior Estimator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a well‑established business at a pivotal stage of growth, supporting the launch of a new main contracting division.

The new division will focus on commercial and retail developments, with a strong pipeline of steel‑frame warehouse projects valued between £1m and £10m. This is a rare chance to play a key role in shaping a business unit from the ground up.

The Role

As Estimator, you will take ownership of the tendering process while also contributing strategically to the success of this fledgling division.

• Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for incoming tenders
• Pricing commercial and retail schemes, including steel‑frame warehouse developments
• Using industry contacts and market knowledge to help generate tender opportunities
• Supporting the business in securing positions on frameworks and preferred supplier lists
• Working closely with senior management to shape estimating processes and commercial strategy

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is seeking an Estimator who combines technical capability with commercial awareness:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within main contracting
• Background in commercial, retail and industrial/warehouse projects
• Strong industry contacts and market presence
• Experience contributing to business growth, frameworks or new work streams (highly desirable)
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to be part of a growing division rather than a siloed role
