We are a dynamic and forward thinking team with a wealth of clinical and leadership experience. We aim for an open and honest culture and believe in nurturing future stars in NHS.

The Role

This is a pure Respiratory Medicine post with no commitment to General Medicine or on call unless the successful candidate wants to do so. The successful applicant will join two other accredited Respiratory Consultants and two long term locum Consultant colleagues to form one component of the Respiratory team (3.1 wte) and will provide a shared service for all respiratory inpatients and outpatients. In‑patient referrals from other teams, on average 3‑10 per day, are seen within 24 hours and can be taken over as needed.

Benefits

A relocation package, up to full Inland Revenue limits, is available for the successful candidate(s). We welcome informal discussions and visits to our hospital – enquiries to Dr T Mackay, Respiratory Lead, tel: 01896 826640.

Legal and Work Eligibility

To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. As part of the pre‑employment checks for a preferred candidate, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK. It can be evidenced through a number of routes including specific types of visa as well as EU settled and pre‑settled status. If you do not have the necessary eligibility to work in the UK, it might be possible to secure sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa, provided the employer is a licensed Sponsor and the post meets the salary threshold.
