Pay Rate: £38.00 per hour

Working Structure: Hybrid (Flexible split between home and office working)

The Work You’ll Do

  • Diverse Case Management: Safely hold and progress a mixed caseload consisting of Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children Looked After (CLA).
  • Court Arena Work: Guide cases confidently through the court arena, preparing analytical legal assessments, writing statements, and advocating fiercely for the child’s best interests.
  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner closely with schools, health practitioners, police, and voluntary sectors to build robust support networks around vulnerable families.
  • Child-Centred Planning: Deliver high-quality, direct work that ensures the unique voice, wishes, and feelings of every young person shape their care plan.

What You’ll Need to Apply

  • A recognized degree in Social Work and a current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven post-qualifying experience within a statutory Children’s Services framework (specifically handling CP, court proceedings, or complex assessments).
  • Strong analytical writing skills and the confidence to represent the authority in court.
  • A full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for community-based visits.
