Software Test Engineer

CMC are currently working with a client in the aerospace space who are looking to bring in an experienced Software Test Engineer on a contract basis to support a live DO-178C programme. You will be apart of a project delivering a console to an aircraft. The project is currently going through the implementation phase, having successfully completed the PDR. It has currently ran for around a year and is close to SOI-2.

What they’re looking for:

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar regulated environments
• Strong background in module / low-level testing of embedded C code
• Experience with NI TestStand or similar frameworks
• Exposure to tools such as VectorCAST, LDRA, Cantata, or similar
• Ability to write and execute automated test scripts (target or host)
• Good documentation skills (aligned to compliance standards e.g. DO-178C)

Project:

• DO-178C programme delivering an aircraft console
• Currently in implementation phase, approaching SOI-2
• Mixture of Scade and manual C code
• Will be supporting across module and system‑level testing
