IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Authentic, engaging, and uncompromising leader with fantastic leadership skills
- Proven retail or hospitality background, able to hit the ground running in a convenience store
- Experienced in managing teams of varying sizes through positive change
- Strong communication, coaching and mentoring, commercial drive and awareness
- Ability to prioritise, anticipate changes and implement recommendations
- Experience with profit and loss reports, identifying opportunities to increase sales
- Emphasis on providing the highest standards of customer service
THE ROLE – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, inspire and develop the team, spending most of the day on the shop floor ensuring every customer is valued
- Seek opportunities to stay ahead of competition and respond to changes affecting store performance
- Lead and coach the team from the front, working towards team and individual performance goals
- Take charge of people development, sales management, waste and cost control
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training and development needs
- Recruit, train and develop the store team to consistently provide product availability and responsive, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable customer service
