Interim Assistant Contracts Manager – £450pd

Location: Birmingham or London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)

Contract: Until March 2027

Rate: Up to £450/day (Umbrella, inside IR35)

An Interim Assistant Contracts Manager to join a major UK infrastructure programme, supporting the management of a portfolio of high-value corporate contracts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial or contract management experience looking to work on one of the UK’s most significant long-term projects.

The Role

Working alongside experienced Contract Managers, you’ll help ensure contracts are effectively administered, suppliers perform against agreed objectives, and commercial processes are delivered efficiently and compliantly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the management and administration of a portfolio of corporate contracts
  • Assisting with contract change requests and governance documentation
  • Preparing documentation for contract compliance reviews
  • Developing and maintaining contract management plans
  • Monitoring supplier performance against KPIs and service levels
  • Supporting the calculation of service credits and contractual payments
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Providing commercial and administrative support across high-profile projects

Requirements:

  • Experience in an Assistant Contract Manager, Commercial or Contracts Administration role
  • Experience working within a commercial or procurement environment
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing contract documentation
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other business systems (SAP experience beneficial)
  • Exposure to contract management, governance, procurement, compliance or supply chain processes would be advantageous.
