Job Overview

Due to expansion of the current service, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a Medicines Access Efficiency Project Manager to join our team in the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC). AWTTC provides dedicated administrative, technical and professional support for medicines optimisation projects, prescribing analysis and the appraisal and monitoring of medicines in Wales, supporting the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) in the development and implementation of strategic prescribing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Working in close collaboration with the Medicines Value Unit (MVU), you will be at the heart of a multi‑disciplinary group created to improve efficiencies and timeliness in the delivery of access to medicines across Wales. This work will support all University Health Boards and the Trust in Wales and assist in delivery of safe and high quality services while achieving financial balance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Good attention to detail and experience working with spreadsheets.
  • The ability to manipulate different data sets to identify and implement service changes is essential.
  • A background of working in a pharmacy environment would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong interest in optimising medicines usage within NHS Wales.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
