Shape winning bids. Build trusted partnerships. Help deliver the infrastructure of tomorrow. We are looking for a Bid Manager to lead and co‑ordinate the full bid lifecycle, securing profitable work and delivering solutions that make a lasting difference.
Base location is flexible with office options in London, Derby, Birmingham and Warrington.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the development and delivery of bid strategies that support profitable growth and align with business priorities.
- Build strong, positive relationships with customers and their representatives to understand requirements, priorities and opportunities.
- Manage bid budgets, programmes, governance documentation and key submission deliverables.
- Co‑ordinate input from technical, legal, commercial, financial, planning, sustainability and supply chain teams to create clear and compelling bid content.
- Oversee customer presentations, tender settlement meetings and approvals for major or multiple bids.
- Lead bid management processes, including clarification registers, document control, risk registers, meeting records and tender settlement documentation.
- Gather customer and competitor intelligence, including SWOT analysis, to strengthen our offer.
- Support innovation within bids, including digital toolsets, BIM, 5D cost planning and submissions technology where relevant.
- Lead the handover of secured work to delivery teams, ensuring a smooth transition from bid to project mobilisation.

Who we’re looking for
- Experience managing bid services within construction, infrastructure or engineering environments.
- A sound understanding of current procurement routes, including framework procurement.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong bid writing, IT and numeracy skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
- A proactive approach to innovation, continuous improvement and customer intelligence.
- Membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, MICE or MIStructE is desirable.
- A valid CSCS card is required.
- Knowledge of Lean Construction, BIM, best practice solutions or 5D cost planning would be advantageous.
