Welcome Manager (Band 2) – Warminster

Role Overview

Lead and manage the team of welcome and service assistants and volunteers at Stourhead. Ensure day‑to‑day operations run smoothly in the welcome area and that visitors receive the highest standards of service while helping to grow charitable income.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team, encouraging high service standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations in the welcome area.
• Use good judgement and decision‑making to lead from the front in line with National Trust guidelines, values and policies.
• Act as duty manager for the whole site, covering safeguarding, cash and tills, fire, security and evacuation.
• Serve as main point of contact for staff, volunteers and visitors in emergencies, enquiries or complaints.

Qualifications

• Experience in visitor services, tourism, heritage or similar settings.
• Natural curiosity about people and motivation to provide the highest standards of service.
• Highly organised, confident leadership skills.
• Adept at managing financial performance.
• Up for a challenge, adaptable and responsive under pressure.

Salary

£22,089.60 pro rata (FTE £27,612 per annum).

Work Pattern

Part‑time, 30 hours per week. The role requires you to work every Friday and Saturday, plus two additional weekdays each week. Stourhead is open 364 days a year.
