Job Title: Strategy Director – Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB)
Location: London
Hours: Full-time

What you’ll be doing
This role is pivotal in shaping the Group’s strategy and influencing major business decisions. As a Strategy Director, you will:
- Lead and contribute to complex strategic initiatives across CIB and the wider Group.
- Develop recommendations on high‑profile topics through deep analysis and original research for GEC and Board level decisions.
- Support the execution of these strategies, translating work into real outcomes.
- Shape the Group’s corporate strategy by assessing the evolving operating environment and competitive landscape to ensure customer needs are met and long‑term shareholder value is delivered.
- Produce insightful analysis on competitors, challenger banks and wider market trends, identifying themes with strategic implications.
What we’re looking for
- 8+ years’ experience in strategy, corporate development, investment banking or consulting, with exposure to complex financial services environments.
- Proven track record analysing large, complex datasets and translating insights into clear strategic recommendations.
- Strong experience supporting or delivering strategic initiatives such as M&A, disposals or transformation programmes.
- Ability to engage senior partners and contribute to Executive and Board‑level discussions, producing high‑quality materials for diverse audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness, with a clear understanding of market dynamics, competitors and investor expectations.
Experience that would be great
- Strategy experience in the context of operations/technology.
