Long Term Futures are working in partnership with Secondary School in Ashbourne (DE6) to appoint an experienced and proactive Site Manager on a permanent basis.
This is a highly regarded secondary school with a strong academic reputation and a commitment to providing an outstanding learning environment for students and staff alike.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and organised professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day management, maintenance, security, and compliance of the school site.
The Role:
- Lead the day-to-day management, maintenance, and security of the school premises
- Ensure the site remains safe, compliant, clean, and fit for purpose at all times
- Manage site maintenance schedules, repairs, and contractor relationships
- Oversee health and safety procedures, statutory compliance, and risk assessments
- Support the smooth running of school operations, events, and lettings where required
- Work collaboratively with school leaders and external stakeholders to maintain high standards across the site
- Monitor premises budgets and ensure resources are used effectively
We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in site management, facilities management, caretaking, or a similar role
- Strong practical maintenance and problem-solving skills
- As a Site Manager you must have good knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance requirements
- Ability to manage contractors and oversee maintenance projects effectively
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors
