We have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic and well‑organised SEND specific administrative assistant to join The Harbour School. Your work will include reception duties, greeting visitors, answering emails and telephone calls, inputting attendance and school lunch orders, managing pupil records including admissions data, overseeing arrangements for school trips and after‑school clubs, and general office duties. You will be responsible for collating, monitoring and providing statistical data required, and providing expert support in the development of ICT administrative and data systems across the SENDV team. Responsibilities
- Reception duties, greeting visitors, answering emails and telephone calls.
- Inputting attendance and school lunch orders, managing pupil records including admissions data.
- Overseeing arrangements for school trips and after‑school clubs.
- Collating, monitoring and providing statistical data.
- Providing expert support for the development of ICT administrative and data systems across the SENDV team.
- Scanning, filing, faxing, photocopying and general office duties.
- Arranging, coordinating and communicating details for meetings, training and events.
Qualifications
- Good educational background – GCSE qualifications or above.
- Experience of working in a school or office environment.
- Experience working in an administrative environment.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.

Salary and Hours
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 6 point 7
Hours: 37 hours per week – 40 weeks per year (term time, training days, plus 5 days in the school holiday period).
