Overview

Rufforth Primary School and St Barnabas Primary School are seeking to appoint a Special Needs Co‑ordinator (SENDCo) who is enthusiastic, very well organised, resourceful and an excellent communicator to work across the two schools (one half day in each school).

Responsibilities

• Work across both schools, spending part of the day at each.
• Coordinate SEND provision and support teachers in delivering inclusive education.
• Lead and manage other staff members where required.
• Manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher.
• Has a passion for own personal development.
• Understands the role of class teachers in teaching children with SEND.
• Willing to learn and able to lead and manage other people.
• Excellent communication skills.

The successful applicant will undertake an enhanced Criminal Record Check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
