Opus Teach Teaching Assistant
Opus Teach, an education recruitment agency wholly owned by Suffolk County Council, is seeking Teaching Assistants (TAs) to work with partnered schools on a temporary, part‑time, full‑time and ad‑hoc basis across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.
Responsibilities
- Support students in allocated classes, ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
- Help support and be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in pupils/students’ work and conduct in lessons.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with learners and other school staff.
- Take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of Children and Young People within the school.
Qualifications and Experience
Specific qualifications are not required; however, experience working with children in an educational setting is advantageous.
Previous roles that demonstrate relevant experience include:
- Teaching Assistant
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
- Nursery Practitioner/Playworker
- Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
- Cover Supervisor
- Children’s Support Worker
- Health Care Assistant
- Nanny
- Paediatric Assistant
