Role Overview

Urgent care is where your clinical judgement matters most. You’ll assess and manage patients across urgent care settings, including UTCs and home visiting, seeing a wide range of acute and undifferentiated presentations. Using your full clinical skillset, you’ll work face‑to‑face and also provide telephone triage and clinical advice as part of CAS.

Responsibilities

Make confident, timely decisions while prioritising clinical need, managing risk, and deciding the most appropriate care pathway – whether treatment, referral or escalation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, NHS 111, ambulance services and acute trusts to ensure safe, joined‑up care for patients. Keep abreast of clinical interests such as frailty, end‑of‑life care, paediatrics and complex acute presentations.
