Hair and Beauty Receptionist – Hair and Beauty

12 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday, 38 weeks per year (Term time).

£6,748 – £6,839 per annum actual salary

 

City College Norwich are recruiting for a Hair and Beauty Receptionist, where you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Hair and Beauty Reception, dealing with clients, visitors and taking reservations and payments for salon services. You will be confident in using IT and reservation systems, supporting students within the curriculum area, in both commercial and academic domains for the Hair and Beauty department. A hands-on role that will include meeting and dealing with clients and liaising with Lecturers and Trainers to maximise the opportunities for student assessments.

You will need to ensure proper record keeping is adhered to and be involved with organising skin testing and dealing with personal client data.  

 

The suitable candidate will be able to work individually and as part of the team supporting the timely provision of day classes and salon opening times. Flexible, adaptable, open, honest and being able to step in and support as and when required to meet the needs of the department. You will be required to help with maintaining quality of the reception area and be able to support the student training in meeting their curriculum programme with customer service skills.

 

Applicants should ideally hold a Level 3 or above in Hair and Beauty/Customer Services (or equivalent); have an excellent telephone manner with strong written/literacy skills and be able to be proactive in maximising revenue opportunities. A good working knowledge of social media is required so that you can actively promote the activities of the Hair and Beauty services within the College guidelines.

Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
