Key Responsibilities
You will play a key role in shaping and developing high‑quality SEND provision, ensuring every learner receives the support and opportunities they need to thrive. Your tasks will include:
- Shaping and developing high‑quality provision for pupils with autism and complex learning needs.
- Ensuring support structures such as visual communication systems and highly structured teaching methods are embedded across the school day and curriculum.
- Collaborating with the newly appointed Headteacher to implement a clear vision for the school’s future.
- Leading on strategy and resilience as a strategic and resilient leader in SEND settings.
About the School
The school caters for early years through to primary age pupils diagnosed with autism, severe and complex learning needs, and social communication differences. The setting uses a mix of structured approaches to support communication and learning, with typical class sizes of no more than seven. There are approximately 75 pupils on roll drawn from the local area and surrounding communities. The school was rated “Good” in its most recent inspection and continues to improve.
