Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently seeking experienced and professional Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a range of established clients throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
With work available immediately, this is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for flexible shifts that fit around their lifestyle, while also offering the potential for regular ongoing assignments.
Shift Patterns
- Flexible ad hoc work based on client requirements
- Weekday and weekend shifts available
- Typical start times of 7:00am or 11:00am
- Additional shifts available during busy periods and holiday cover
- Opportunities across Edinburgh and surrounding areas
The Role
- Completing multi-drop delivery routes in a Class 2 vehicle
- Working alongside a driver’s mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Delivering excellent customer service at every delivery point
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
PAYE
- £14.50 per hour
- £19.32 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £16.25 per hour
- £21.66 per hour after 8 hours
Benefits
- Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
- Weekly pay
- Overtime opportunities available
- Holiday pay accrued (unless PAYE Advanced is selected)

Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
