Minibus Driver (Evenings)
Bede’s Trust is looking to appoint a Minibus Driver (Evenings) to join our Transport Team, based at our Senior School in Upper Dicker.
Job Summary
As a member of the Transport Department, you will transport pupils to and from school in accordance with the planned timetable and agreed routes, including sporting fixtures, airports, activities and school trips. You will supervise, ensure safety and manage behaviour of pupils while on or around vehicles, driving and operating vehicles in accordance with current legislation and the school’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Transport pupils to and from school, sporting events, airports, activities and school trips.
- Supervise pupils, ensure their safety and manage their behaviour while on or around vehicles.
- Operate vehicles in accordance with current legislation and school policies.
- Attend two Saturdays of Open Mornings and one day of INSET per year.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driving licence Category D1.
- Good knowledge of local road network.
- Recent eye test result within the last 3 months.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident, polite, organized and committed to high standards of driver behaviour and safety.
Employment Details
Permanent, part‑time position, 12 hours per week (19:00 – 22:00, Monday – Thursday) during term time only, 36 weeks per year.
