Manufacturing – Production Assistant

Overview

Pay – £12.80 then £13.21 per hour after 18 months probation.

Our Manufacturing centre in Birstall, Leicestershire are looking for a 38.5 hour a week Production Assistant to work from 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30am – 12pm on a Friday.

This is a very manual role which will involve long times on your feet and measuring heavy made‑to‑measure curtains.

What you’ll be doing

• Measure and assemble heavy made‑to‑measure curtains.
• Assist in the production of bespoke window treatments, blinds, cushions, and tie‑backs.
• Develop skills managing workload through automated systems and problem‑solving.
• Gain an understanding of the product life‑cycle from start to finish.

What we’ll look for in you

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience as a Production Assistant in a similar industry (preferred).
• Good eye for detail and passion for customers and products.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment; measured on hourly, daily and weekly production targets.
• Knowledge and previous experience from the textiles/hosiery industry is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
