Working Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 20:00, this is a job‑and‑finish role on an accumulative weekly hours basis, with flexibility required to complete daily tasks safely. Drivers serve as the business’s representative, building strong client relationships. Job Overview
As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of the business, delivering fresh cooking oil to the catering industry and collecting used oil to return to the Micro site. Relationship building with customers is key, as our client aims to ensure every order is fulfilled in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner. You’ll also have the opportunity to assist in generating new business during your rounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving an HGV C1 vehicle on planned routes
- Collecting used cooking oil from restaurants and businesses
- Delivering fresh supplies where required
- Completing around 15‑25 stops per day
- Providing friendly, professional customer service
- Handling barrels (physical role)
Requirements
- 7.5 tonne Driving Licence
- DCPC Digital Tacho card
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles in the UK, with a solid understanding of road laws and regulations (minimum 6 months)
- Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with the Transport Office, customers, and other drivers
- Professionalism: maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Customer Service Orientation: friendly, positive attitude with willingness to engage with customers to enhance their experience
- Sales Experience (Desirable): business‑to‑business sales experience and ability to achieve sales targets
- Safety Awareness: strong knowledge of vehicle safety and workplace health and safety regulations
- Problem‑Solving Ability: ability to handle unexpected situations and demonstrate problem‑solving skills
- Attention to Detail: keen eye for detail, particularly when handling documents
- Reliability and flexibility: strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility with work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
