Teaching Assistants

This is a role with an opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and progress of our pupils, working to provide one-to-one and group support and teaching. You will be adapting teaching resources, thinking of new ways to learn, being fun and creative in your approach and adaptable to children’s needs. Our Teaching Assistants are highly valued in our school – you will work closely with our SENDCo and SEND team to provide our children with the best possible educational opportunities. An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support and teaching.
• Adapt teaching resources and create new learning approaches.
• Prepare teaching resources and class displays.
• Work closely with the SENDCo and SEND team.
• Coordinate and liaise with specialist services on behalf of students.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or behavior needs (beneficial).
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Adaptable, able to take on new ideas and think on your feet.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.
