Overview
An exciting opportunity in the Adult Social Care Mental Health Team for a full‑time post of 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will be based at The Gateway Blackpool Football Stadium with the Community Mental Health Team, providing opportunities to work closely with health colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for the Blackpool community.
Responsibilities
Provide support to people with mental health issues, promoting independence and choice in a strengths‑based approach. Work within the relevant legal frameworks such as the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act. The role is part of a supportive team of social workers, support workers, and a carers assessor, and requires regular and supportive supervision. Flexible working arrangements are available.
Qualifications and Requirements
Evidence of reference history of at least two years, a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, relevant qualifications, and proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, with certain offences protected from disclosure.
