Job Overview

IT Teacher – Secondary School, Wellingborough. Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Position: IT Teacher. Contract: Full-Time. Start Date: ASAP / September Start Available.

We are seeking a confident, experienced, and dedicated IT Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality ICT and Computing lessons and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging IT and Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Preparing schemes of work and lesson resources to support student progress.
  • Marking and assessing student work in line with school policies.
  • Monitoring student attainment and providing effective feedback to support achievement.
  • Establishing and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
  • Demonstrating strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school priorities.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching IT/Computing within a secondary school setting.
  • Proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons.
  • Confidence in undertaking full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to raising standards and improving student outcomes.
