Are you ready for a fresh challenge and to make the move to the Joint Community Rehabilitation service and can you put a spring back into Sue’s steps? Sue lost confidence after injuring her hip in a fall, but she wanted to be able to walk her dog, Daisy, to the local park again. We work with people like Sue to achieve the goals that are important to them – whether that’s walking her dog to the park, staying well or adjusting to a new routine. The JCR Service is at the heart of community care, assisting older adults after illness or injury to regain independence in their own homes. As a JCR Support Worker the role involves assisting clients with personal care, therapy exercises and emotional support to help them rebuild confidence and daily living skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients.
- Assist with therapy exercises.
- Offer emotional support to help clients rebuild confidence.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support client independence.
- Support a diverse group of clients across the local community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong communication skills with clients and advocates.
- Patience and empathy when providing support.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driving licence and access to a car to meet travel requirements.
Remuneration & Working Hours
- Permanent contracts ranging from 6 to 30 hours per week; apprenticeships available 24–30 hours.
- Salary per annum pro‑rata £26,824 to £27,254 (£13.90 to £14.13 per hour).
- Shift work between 7 am and 10 pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
