Are you an experienced and motivated Year 6 teacher looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and well‑resourced primary school?

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Clapham seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full‑time, long‑term maternity cover contract. This is initially a one‑year contract, with the exciting possibility of a permanent position from September 2027.

The Role

  • Full‑time Year 6 class teacher.
  • September 2026 start.
  • One‑year maternity cover contract.
  • Full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that prepare pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad and inspiring curriculum.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
  • Confident with planning, assessment and preparing pupils for end‑of‑Key Stage assessments.
  • Passionate about raising attainment while creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Committed to becoming an active member of the school community throughout the duration of the contract.
