Job Summary
Inclusion Support Assistant (SEMH) – This role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within an Achievement Centre provision. The postholder acts as a key worker for a group of pupils, delivering targeted interventions as part of a structured reintegration programme aimed at returning students to mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities
- Build consistent, supportive relationships with pupils.
- Develop personalised support and reintegration plans.
- Monitor progress in behaviour, attendance and engagement.
- Use restorative approaches to manage behaviour and support emotional regulation.
- Help pupils successfully transition back into regular lessons.
- Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents/carers and external agencies to ensure coordinated support.
- Contribute to the daily running and development of the provision and wider school priorities around inclusion, wellbeing and behaviour.
- Maintain adherence to safeguarding, confidentiality and school policies, and uphold professional standards.
- Engage in ongoing training and development.
