MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Role

  • Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges.
  • Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans.
  • Safely manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months UK experience working as a Support Worker.
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • In‑date PMVA training (or willingness to complete training).

Candidate Profile

  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations.
  • Ability to provide a clinical reference.
