Community Volunteer Companion – West Lothian

Marie Curie is looking for compassionate, everyday people to join our Companion Team within the surrounding areas of Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian. You don’t need a medical background or all the answers – just a kind heart, a listening ear, and a little time to give.

What you’ll do

• Provide companionship and support
• Help someone express what matters most
• Share helpful information and point them to local resources
• Support families and carers, before and after bereavement

Experience required

• You are patient, friendly, and a good listener
• You are non-judgmental and emotionally steady
• You can provide 3 of your time each week
• You are comfortable using email and happy to complete short visit reports
