Commercial Assistant

We’re seeking a Commercial Assistant to join our team at the Prescot site. This varied and hands‑on role emphasizes administration, customer support and client communication, playing a key part in delivering a smooth and positive experience for our customers while supporting the day‑to‑day running of our commercial operations.

About the Role

Location: Prescot. Hybrid role after probation with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Shift / Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Contract: Full Time & Fixed Term (12 months)

Annual Salary: £27,000

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Co‑ordination and administration of inspection and analysis quotations
  • Assistance with annual tenders and client proposals
  • Join client meetings and events to build strong, lasting relationships
  • Organise customer visits to our office and laboratory
  • Manage general department administration tasks
  • Generate department statistics using Excel and Power‑BI
  • Regular communication with customers via email and telephone, and attend client visits or events as required

  • Customer‑focused approach with excellent service skills
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail
  • Competence with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage international clients
  • Strong time management and multi‑tasking abilities
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
