A Specialist Piling and Ground Engineering contractor is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join their Design / Technical team on multi million pound highly prestigious project in the midlands

Reporting toBIM Manager & Technical Manager andResponsible for producing CAD models and drawings to project standards within ProjectWise Key Responsibilities:

• Produce all 2D and 3D design information required for any type of structure, using AutoCAD.
• Prepare RC and steelwork details as required.
• Maintain an overview of developments in CAD/BIM technologies, relevant CAD/BIM standards and Codes of Practice.
• Comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and increase own awareness of Health and Safety procedures. Awareness and understanding of SB3JV core Vision and Values.
• Supported by the Project BIM manager, create new CAD documents in ProjectWise and push those documents through the project workflow.
• Support the CAD team with training, and the development of junior CAD technicians.
• Work under limited supervision performing complex technical work.

The Ideal person will need to obtain the following Experience qualities:

• Ability to work within a ProjectWise Common Data Environment experience is desirable, but training can be provided on this.
• RC Detailing experience preferred.
• Steelwork Detaling experience preferred.
• Experience in rail design essential
• Ideally working towards EngTech or equivalent
• Ideally Tunnelling or similar civil structures background essential
• AutoCAD knowledge 2d & 3d essential
• Microstation and/or Aecosim knowledge desirable
