Job Description:

Senior Legal Counsel – Media

Ready to step up into a broader, more impactful in-house role — within a creative environment?

We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join a fast-growing, global creative business and play a key role at the heart of its operations.

This is far more than a traditional legal position. You’ll work closely with leadership, production, finance, HR and commercial teams in a sole counsel position — helping to shape decisions that drive both business success and creative output.

From contracts to compliance, IP to employment matters, you’ll deliver practical, solutions-focused advice that balances legal risk with commercial and creative objectives in a fast-paced studio setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial and production agreements
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business on legal, operational and strategic matters
  • Advise on employment, IP, compliance and risk management
  • Support disputes, complaints and sensitive matters
  • Work alongside external counsel where specialist advice is required
  • Help develop and implement policies, processes and best practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor across a collaborative, global team

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in-house or within a commercial law firm
  • Understanding of production and creative studio environments is helpful
  • A commercial, solutions-led mindset
  • Strong communication, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Ambition to step up and grow within an evolving business

You’ll be supported with a clear progression plan and the opportunity to grow your career as the business scales. You will also look to build out the legal team alongside projected growth plans.

Interviews will be held in the next few weeks so please get in touch if this is of interest.
