Role Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced part‑time Healthcare Assistant to support our Community Dermatology Service. The successful candidate will have previous experience and will be dedicated to delivering excellent patient care across multiple clinics in Dorset.
Responsibilities
- Ensure necessary instruments are available and set up for minor surgery clinics.
- Prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions.
- Assist GPwSIs while patients are undergoing minor procedures.
- Record accurate patient information on the clinical record system (SystmOne).
- Complete IPC audit reports on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with the Tele‑Derm Coordinator regarding administrative work and record‑keeping on SystmOne.
- Support both outpatient and surgical clinics, recording information with accuracy and competency.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks when clinics are not running.
- Maintain flexibility to work across two sites: Pelhams Community Clinic in Kinson and Poole Healthcare Centre in the Dolphin Centre.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to work across a variety of clinics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship is not available.
- A fixed‑term role; NHS staff will only be offered the position on a secondment basis.
- Availability for additional ad‑hoc hours; flexibility regarding working days is desirable.
