Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a full‑time, experienced Assistant Patient Services Coordinator within our Rheumatology Department at Chapel Allerton Hospital. You will be a highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm to undertake this role.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate day‑to‑day activities of administrative staff, train and supervise them, and take a lead role in managing the Complex Rehabilitation service, ensuring waiting lists are addressed within NHS targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day‑to‑day activities of a team of administrative staff including clerical officers, medical secretaries and supervisors.
- Train and supervise team members in all aspects of patient administration service.
- Lead the management of the Complex Rehabilitation service, including maintaining waiting lists and ensuring patients are seen in accordance with NHS targets.
- Prioritise own workload, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Utilise Trust systems such as PAS, SMSPAS and PPM+ to support patient administration.
Person Specification
- Full‑time, experienced Assistant Patient Services Coordinator with a proven ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, experience working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and advanced proficiency with PAS, SMSPAS and PPM+.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to support colleagues across medical, nursing and research staff.
