The organisation operates within a multi-work centre production environment and supplies products across a range of industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Production Planner to support operations and improve overall efficiency.
Your new role
As Production Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating production activity and ensuring efficient scheduling across the business.Key responsibilities include:
Planning and scheduling production across a multi-work centre environment with capacity considerationsWorking closely with sales, production, and purchasing teams to align workflow with demandDeveloping weekly and daily production plans to maximise output and efficiencyActing as the central point of communication for production progress and delivery updatesEnsuring delivery dates are accurate and clearly communicatedSupporting sales and operations planning activities to align demand with capacityDriving continuous improvement within planning processes and ERP systemsMonitoring key metrics including output, dispatch, and forecast accuracy
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous experience in a production planning or scheduling roleBackground within engineering or manufacturing environments (desirable)Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systemsExperience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentExcellent organisational and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
