About The Role…

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Team Ipsum – within the ICP Grid Connections Division as a Project Manager. You will be responsible for providing strong leadership, contract management, project delivery, and strategic planning. Customer driven within the Power Division, ensuring safety, financial and operational targets are met or exceeded, maintaining exceptional customer service levels across all the projects you are responsible for.

As a Project Manager you will be…

  • Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of specific projects and ensure compliance with ICP and customer standards, policies and procedures.
  • Manage multiple projects safely, competently and effectively to time and budget; manage all financial aspects, produce purchase orders, order plant and other items, ensure extra works/variations are costed and invoiced.
  • Provide cost value reconciliation for projects/contracts and ensure all sub‑contracts are approved in line with company policies and that projects meet current legislation (HASAWA, NRSWA, C.O.S.H.H.).
  • Assist in costing schemes for quotations and identify and inform Directors / Senior Managers of commercial opportunities.
  • Work in accordance with project programmes to ensure dates and milestones are achieved and projects completed on time, first time.
  • Actively monitor performance of all site staff including subcontractors with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment; report and investigate incidents, implement remedies and monitor performance and safety requirements regularly and implement improvements.
  • Survey and quote individual projects based on a contract schedule of rates; ensure resources are adequate for workload and projects are delivered economically and timely.
  • Be proactive in promoting continuous improvement and innovation in working methodology and work closely with support team to ensure delivery programmes are in place and progress monitored.
  • Conduct ICP client reporting and liaison, arrange progress meetings and client audits with subcontractor monitoring.

About You…

  • Proven experience in a Project Management position within the ICP/DNO/IDNO sector – ICP 11kV essential & 33kV desirable.
  • Knowledge of measuring work achievement and providing reliable information for applications for payment to commercial staff.
  • Proven experience of working in customer service or a customer focused environment with performance management responsibility.
  • Professional, customer focused with a good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning.
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting data.
  • Evidence of implementing successful improvement measures.
  • Passionate about Health and Safety and a belief that Zero Harm is achievable.
  • Knowledge of KPI measurements to a high level to ensure compliance with targets.
  • Experience and ability to encourage and enable personal development of and recognise and reward team.
  • Proven ability to lead by and set an example.
  • Experience in building collaborative relationships with existing and new clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to communicate both up and down within Ipsum and the Client Organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Time management skills, with ability to deliver tasks to deadline.
  • Professional and positive can‑do approach.
  • Self‑motivated and organised and a flexible attitude, with an approach.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
