Job Description:

EQUANS is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Stevenage. This is a full‑time permanent role. We offer a competitive salary with a company vehicle or allowance and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to oversee and support the delivery of the SHDF (Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund) retrofit programme. The successful candidate will assist subcontractors, site managers, retrofit leaders and advisors to ensure successful project execution and coordination across multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and assist subcontractors, site managers, RLO, and retrofit advisors throughout programme delivery.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple trades involved in retrofit activities ensuring smooth collaboration and timely progress.
  • Develop weekly and bi‑weekly project reports to monitor progress, risks and issues.
  • Plan and facilitate pre‑start meetings to set clear expectations and align project teams.
  • Maintain an understanding of project reporting cadence specific to retrofit projects.
  • Utilise MS Project for programming and scheduling of tasks and milestones.
  • Employ Microsoft Office suite tools proficiently for documentation, communication and reporting.
  • Provide on‑site support to project teams to resolve issues and drive project success.
  • Ensure compliance with PAS 2030/35 standards and guidance throughout retrofit delivery.
  • Track and report project progress against programme objectives and timelines.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience managing retrofit or construction programmes, ideally within social housing or energy efficiency schemes.
  • Good knowledge and awareness of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 standards.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling and programming.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills managing multiple trades and stakeholders.
  • Experience in planning, conducting pre‑start meetings and maintaining reporting cadences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team support and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to generate clear, concise reports and manage administrative aspects of the project.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
