Responsibilities
- Focus of activity on customer sites: manage installation, commissioning and handover of the solution to customers.
- Operate nationwide, requiring UK travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Provide support with faults or carry out preventative maintenance during ongoing projects.
- Manage safe decommissioning and removal of rental equipment at the end of a project as part of a team.
- When not on customer sites, complete maintenance inspections and repairs at the fully‑equipped branch location to ensure maximum availability and reliability of the rental fleet.
- Deliver, install/de‑install generators, pumps, filtration equipment and tanks for customers.
- Carry out mechanical servicing and fault finding.
- Hand‑over equipment to the customer and instruct customer on correct usage.
- Assist in operational project preparation involving mechanical, electrical and diesel systems.
- Monitor parts inventory and maintain minimum stock levels.
- Provide guidance to other operation team members.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical bias with mechanical (diesel and/or pump) experience.
- Experience in a service technician role or similar.
- Driving licence B essential.
- Experience with plant or equipment hire business desirable.
- Team player or ability to work independently with high flexibility.
- Ability to make occasional overnight trips.
- Proactive, service oriented, flexible and independent.
- Good oral and written communication skills (essential).
- Basic knowledge of IT to complete worksheets and safety training.
