Job Description:

Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking an experienced Assembly Operator to join our well-established client based in Worcestershire, a leading manufacturer of complex and safety‑critical engineering parts for the defence and transport sector.

The successful candidate will play a key role in using their technical ability and hands‑on skills to assemble components and be able to work from technical drawings. They will have a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work within a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment according to technical specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure standards are met.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures at all times.
  • Have knowledge of and the ability to read technical drawings.
  • Finish products to company quality standards.
  • Work effectively within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Adhoc duties as required from time to time.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in assembly, production or a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding assembly processes.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive team player.

Salary: up to £13.48 per hour DOE + Company Benefits.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45–17:15, Friday 07:45–13:00.

Temporary to Permanent Contract.
