Team Administrator – Band 3

We are seeking a proactive Band 3 Administrator to support our Community Mental Health Teams in Macclesfield. This full‑time role is vital to smooth service delivery, supporting both staff and service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support across teams, including updating clinical records, drafting correspondence through audio typing, and covering reception and managing incoming calls.
- Deliver reception and telephony services, responding to service users, carers and professional enquiries with empathy, professionalism and discretion.
- Liaise effectively with clinical staff, external agencies and service users via phone, email and face‑to‑face contact to support smooth service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure compliance with information governance, data protection and safeguarding requirements.
- Assist colleagues by providing ad‑hoc administrative support, training and cross‑cover to promote a resilient and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Evidence of good typing skills e.g. RSA 111 / NVQ level 111 in an admin related subject or equivalent.
- Educated to an appropriate standard of English Language to undertake the job role.
- ECDL.
Knowledge and Expertise
- Working knowledge of software programmes e.g. Microsoft office applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and use own initiative.
- Managing workload and able to act independently.
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
- Audio typing experience.

- Experience of providing secretarial/administrative duties.
- Experience of working in a health environment.
