Overview
Join our dedicated team as a School Admissions Assistant, playing a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient administration of the school admissions process in Bracknell Forest. This is a full‑time, 10‑month fixed‑term contract for maternity cover.
We offer flexible working with an expectation to work from our Time Square office two days per week. Work can also be done remotely where appropriate.
About You
You will demonstrate strong administrative and IT skills, well‑developed literacy, and a commitment to providing high‑quality service to schools and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Process applications for school admissions, including first entries to primary schools, transfers from infant to junior school, secondary school admissions and in‑year applications.
- Maintain school waiting lists and collect pupil number‑on‑roll data from maintained schools and, where required, own admission authority schools.
- Process Free School Meal applications through the Eligibility Checking Engine and communicate eligibility information to schools to support Pupil Premium funding claims.
- Provide efficient administrative and clerical support to the School Admissions Team.
- Deliver excellent customer service to parents, schools and other stakeholders via telephone, email and face‑to‑face contact.
