Mission

As a Sales Director – EMEA Mid Market, you will lead a team of Client Executives focused on growth accounts in EMEA. You and your team will identify, qualify, and efficiently bring sales opportunities to successful conclusion in active and prospective clients in Pharma, BioTech, CDMO, and life sciences entities. Key focus areas are new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts. The role also includes devising and executing strategies to grow the Dassault Systèmes life sciences portfolio and building and managing C‑Suite relationships.

Role

  • Manage a team of high‑level sales professionals responsible for driving bookings and revenue within the assigned territory.
  • Consistently attain all revenue and booking targets based on position and territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans related to specific opportunities and accounts.
  • Represent Medidata in the field in a manner consistent with company business principles and ethics.
  • Directly responsible for closing sales transactions with clients and prospects.
  • Coordinate resources within sales and other departments to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain and update sales plans, account and opportunity data within company systems.
  • Adhere to quarterly and/or annual sales targets that vary by title and position.
  • Provide continuous personnel development for team members.

Education and Experience

  • Sales/People Management experience in the software industry.
  • Experience in the life sciences industry.
  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Leadership in large‑scale, complex sales cycles.
  • Experience in multi‑product, direct and channel‑driven sales cycles.
  • Strong application SaaS sales experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to gain executive credibility, understand organizational politics, and maintain competitive awareness.
  • Strong business planning and organizational skills.
