Chef/Cook – Agincare

Requirements
- A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
- Background within kitchens and understanding of how to run a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or supporting complex dietary requirements is essential
- This is a bank position, so you must be flexible to work as and when required
- Experience in a kitchen within a care home setting is desirable
Responsibilities
- Menu planning – collaborate with the home manager and residents’ requests and wishes, develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity.
- Understanding dietary needs – work closely with staff to meet residents’ specific nutritional and dietary needs, including modified food textures and allergies.
- Kitchen management – be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for day-to-day running of stock management and hygiene standards.
