Band 5 Clinical Psychology Assistant Practitioner (Higher Level)

Position Summary

This fixed term 24-month post is based in the Birmingham-wide specialist community service for people with learning disabilities. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled Assistant Psychologist to support and enhance the provision of psychology services within our city-wide multidisciplinary Community Forensic Team (CFT). The CFT provides assessment and intervention for people with learning disabilities who are at risk of offending.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enhance the provision of psychology services within the Community Forensic Team.
• Deliver assessment and intervention for people with learning disabilities who are at risk of offending.
• Utilise a wide range of psychological skills within CFT and the wider Learning Disabilities Service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as an Assistant Psychologist.
• Previous experience working in a forensic and/or learning disability setting.
• Ability to access a car to meet travel requirements across the city and occasionally outside Birmingham.

Working Conditions & Location

The role is a fixed-term 24-month post based in the South Community Team Hub in Kings Norton, Birmingham. It involves travelling across the city and occasionally outside Birmingham.
